Sea Bears Fall to Vancouver 94-88, Streak Ends at Four
Scott erupts for 28 off the bench and Allen drops 27, but a cold night from three and Jarkel Joiner's 34-point performance hands Winnipeg its first loss in five games.

The Winnipeg Sea Bears (8-5) had their four-game win streak snapped Saturday night, falling 94-88 to the Vancouver Bandits in Vancouver. Vancouver claimed sole possession of first place in the Western Conference with the win.
The Bandits seized control in the second quarter, outscoring Winnipeg 24-14 to build an 11-point halftime lead. The Sea Bears fought back in the second half but couldn't erase the deficit. The difference on the night came down to the three-point line: Vancouver connected on 11-of-34 from deep (32 percent) while Winnipeg managed just 5-of-25 (20 percent).
Jarkel Joiner was the story for the Bandits, finishing with a game-high 34 points on 12-of-23 shooting to go with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Winnipeg got a huge performance from Trevon Scott, who came off the bench to pour in 28 points on 11-of-15 shooting. Teddy Allen led the starters with 27 points, going a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line and added seven rebounds and six assists. Trey McGowens chipped in 15 points and seven assists, and Emmanuel Akot, returning from injury, logged 22 minutes in his first action back.
The Sea Bears' bench outscored Vancouver's reserves 30-10 on the night, but the starter gap proved too wide to close on the road.
Head coach Mike Raimbault acknowledged the team left too much on the table early. "We had our opportunities, but we'd given away too many things for free up to that point and couldn't close the gap," he said. The message after the loss was direct: "We need to play harder if we would like to be successful." Raimbault added that the group will regroup over the next couple of days and address the things that hurt them heading into Tuesday.
Winnipeg returns home Tuesday, June 30 at 7 p.m. against the Saskatoon Mamba.
