Sea Bears Top Edmonton 107-86 for the 4th Straight Win, Allen Makes Franchise History

June 20, 2026

McGowens drops a double-double and the game-winner, Allen sets two Sea Bears franchise records, and Winnipeg improves to 8-4, sitting at first in the West.

The Winnipeg Sea Bears (8-4) ran their winning streak to four with a 107-86 victory over the Edmonton Stingers on National Indigenous Peoples Day Game at Canada Life Centre, keeping their 1st place spot in the Western Conference. The win pushes Winnipeg to a perfect 5-0 at home, with an average margin of 22 points across those five wins. The lead reached 29 in the third quarter as the Sea Bears took control after a tight opening frame.

It was a night for the record book. Teddy Allen led the way with 25 points, seven rebounds and three steals, and along the way picked up two pieces of Sea Bears history: a new franchise single-season steals record at 33, and becoming the first player in Sea Bears history to reach 300 career rebounds with the team.

Trey McGowens turned in his own statement line with 14 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds, two boards shy of a triple-double, and the game-winner to close it out.

"Trey's great," head coach Mike Raimbault said. "We're asking him to take on a pretty tall task at the defensive end of the floor first, find other people and create offense for himself. He's an extremely competitive guy, and he goes out there with a determination to get the job done that's been really, really effective for us."

Isiah Osborne stayed hot with 22 points on 5-of-12 from three. "If we get stops on defense, then we can get out in transition and get our easy buckets," Osborne said. "That's where it starts for us."

The bench was massive with 35 points, paced by Winnipeg-born guard Mason Kraus, who hit 12 on 3-of-6 from deep. "I always trust my defense, so I know if my shots are not going to fall, I could always pick up full court, do the little things," Kraus said.

Raimbault pointed to the team's identity when shots stop falling. "We're going to miss some shots, but let's continue to have effort on the offensive glass," he said. "We kept a few plays alive."
