Sea Bears Make It Two in a Row Against Calgary with 107-88 Road Victory

June 14, 2026

Winnipeg answered every road question on Sunday, beating Calgary to complete a back-to-back sweep.

The Winnipeg Sea Bears (6-4) took care of business on Sunday, defeating the Calgary Surge 107-88 at WinSport Event Centre to sweep a back-to-back set and push Calgary to 0-10 on the season. Less than 48 hours after beating the Surge by 20 at Canada Life Centre, Winnipeg came to Calgary and did it again, this time on the road.

Jeremiah Tilmon Jr. was the engine, finishing with 26 points on 10-of-14 shooting, nine rebounds, five assists, three steals, and three blocks, a complete performance on both ends. Teddy Allen was his usual relentless self with 27 points on 12-of-21 shooting, and Trey McGowens delivered one of his finest outings of the season: 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Head Coach Mike Raimbault took notice. "He was effective at both ends of the floor. He was at the point of attack in terms of his ball pressure and disruptively, and that carried over into us getting stops and pushing the ball in transition."

McGowens credited the team's approach for unlocking his own game. "Ted got going early, and then we got Tilmon touches. That was something we had struggled with, especially on the road the last couple games, just get him touches early. I feel like we did that and it just opened up for everyone else."

For the second night in a row, Isiah Osborne provided the defining moment, draining the game-winning basket in Target Score time to close the door on Calgary. Two games as a Sea Bear, two clutch moments. The veteran has wasted no time making his mark.

Defensively, Winnipeg brought intensity throughout. The Sea Bears generated eight steals and turned Calgary's turnovers into 21 points. Raimbault called it "one of our better complete efforts, start to finish." McGowens summed up the road win simply: "All our losses are on the road, so just lock it in. Like Coach said, we played a complete game."

With five of their next seven games at home, the momentum is squarely on Winnipeg's side. "Huge, huge, huge," said McGowens. "We like to believe that we have one of the best home crowds in the league. It's just really nice to be there at home."
