Sea Bears Fall to Vancouver 92-77 as Allen Hits Historic Three-Point Milestone

The milestone arrived in a game that told a harder story. Allen finished with 26 points on the night, but the Sea Bears struggled to match Vancouver's physicality in the paint, where the Bandits outscored Winnipeg 62-34 and dominated the home side in the final quarter 22-7 to seal it.

For Simon Hildebrandt, the atmosphere left no doubt about what kind of game it was. "Oh yeah, definitely," he said when asked if it felt like a playoff game. "Big crowd, lots of energy. We know that's a team we're gonna have to beat if we want to make it to the end." The challenges inside were real: "They did a really good job of forcing us to finish off one foot and off balance. They made us a little bit uncomfortable at the rim tonight." Hildebrandt finished with 14 points off the bench.

Xavier Moon produced 15 points and eight assists but acknowledged the team left something on the table. "100% we knew what was at stake," he said. "We know that if we want to be number one in the West, we're gonna have to go through them. We've got to be better offensively and defensively." His message on the quick turnaround: "That comes with the job. We can't harp on this one too much. Watch the film, clean up what we need to clean up, and get ready for Saturday."

Coach Mike Raimbault pointed to missed opportunities as the turning point. "The rhythm of the game wasn't in our favour. We didn't score a few times where we had opportunities to convert, and they punished us, they capitalized on all of the momentum turns that weren't in our favour." His message going forward: "There are a lot of teachable things in possessions that we know we have to be better at if we're going to be successful in the postseason."



Winnipeg sits at 13-8 on the season, second in the Western Conference.
