Lower Bowl Sold Out for CEBL Championship Game, Upper Bowl Now Open

AUGUST 13, 2026 - WINNIPEG, MB. Winnipeg is showing up for a championship. The lower bowl at Canada Life Centre has sold out for Saturday’s CEBL Championship game, and the Winnipeg Sea Bears have opened the upper bowl to meet demand. A limited number of tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.

The Sea Bears play for the franchise’s first championship on Saturday, August 15 at 2:30 p.m. CT against the Brampton Honey Badgers. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.

The 2026 CEBL Championship will be decided in a single game. Game 1 of the Finals in Brampton was cancelled on Wednesday, August 12 due to condensation on the court, and the league confirmed that with the best-of-three series unable to be completed within the scheduled window, the title would be decided in one game at Canada Life Centre. The previously scheduled Game 3 on Sunday, August 16 will not be played.

Saturday’s game is broadcast on CBC, TSN, TSN+, CBC Gem and CEBL+.

"Our fans have been with us all season, and the support for this championship game has been extraordinary," said Rhéanne Marcoux, President of the Winnipeg Sea Bears. "Selling out the lower bowl tells you everything about what basketball has come to mean to our city. Opening the upper bowl means thousands more fans can be in the building for one of the biggest days in this franchise’s history, and we want to share it with as many Manitoban as we can."

Fans in attendance will receive a rally towel waiting on their seat when they enter Canada Life Centre. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats early to help build the best home-court atmosphere in the CEBL.

Information for Current Ticket Holders

• All tickets purchased for Saturday, August 15 are honoured in full. Same seats, same time. No action is required.
• Tickets purchased for Sunday, August 16 through Ticketmaster will be refunded automatically to the original method of payment.
• Season ticket members who purchased tickets for Sunday, August 16 will receive a credit to their account, or may request a refund through their account rep.
• Fans who held tickets to Game 1 in Brampton will be refunded by the Brampton Honey Badgers, as previously announced by the league.

Game Day in Downtown Winnipeg

The MNP pre-game party opens in True North Square at 12:30 p.m., giving fans a place to gather ahead of doors opening at 1:30 p.m. 

Fans travelling downtown by bike can use the MNP Bike Valet, free for all Sea Bears ticket holders. Located on Graham Avenue across from True North Square, the valet is staffed throughout the game and opens 90 minutes before tip-off. Fans drop off a bike, take a claim stub, and pick it up on the way out. No lock is required.
