Permafrost Club Terms & Conditions
The following terms govern participation in the Permafrost Club.
Terms & Conditions
1. Program description. The Permafrost Club ("the Program") is the auto-renewal program offered by the Winnipeg Sea Bears ("the Club") to its Season Ticket Members. The Program provides automatic annual renewal of season tickets, a multi-year pricing lock, a 9-month interest-free payment plan, and an enhanced concession discount, subject to these terms.
2. Membership eligibility. The Program is available to current Season Ticket Members in good standing with an active account and no outstanding balance at the time of enrollment.
3. Eligible ticket accounts. Enrollment applies at the account level. The account holder of record is responsible for all payments and for compliance with these terms.
4. All seats enrolled. A member cannot enroll only some seats. When an account joins the Program, every seat on that account is enrolled in the Program and subject to these terms.
5. Included seat types. All season ticket seat types qualify, including regular season tickets, premium seats, courtside seats, Ice Berg Tables, suites, and any other season ticket inventory on the account.
6. Payment method requirements. Members must provide and maintain a valid payment method for the full term of the payment plan. Acceptable methods are a valid credit card or a complete set of postdated cheques covering all nine payments. The payment method must remain current at all times. Members are responsible for notifying the Club of any change to their payment method before the next scheduled payment.
7. Credit card payment option. Members who choose credit card payment authorize the Club to charge the card on file for each scheduled monthly payment until the season balance is paid in full. The member is responsible for ensuring the card is valid and has sufficient funds on each payment date.
8. Postdated cheque payment option. Members who choose to pay by cheque must provide a complete set of nine postdated cheques at enrollment, dated to the monthly schedule. Cheques must be delivered before the first payment date.
9. 9-month payment plan. The total season ticket balance is divided into nine equal monthly payments with no interest.
10. First payment date. The first payment is due September 15.
11. Monthly payment schedule. Payments are due on the 15th of each month for nine consecutive months, beginning September 15 and ending May 15.
12. Interest-free. No interest, financing charge, or service fee is added to the season ticket balance under the payment plan.
13. Pricing lock. A member who joins the Program locks in the previous year's season ticket pricing for two seasons. The pricing lock applies to all seats on the account.
14. 2026 pricing locked for 2027 and 2028. A member who enrolls during the 2026 renewal window (July 12 to August 31, 2026) holds their 2026 per-seat season ticket pricing for both the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
15. Concession discount. Active Permafrost Club members receive 25% off select concession items during the season. This is a concessions discount only. It does not reduce season ticket pricing.
16. Eligible concession items. The concession discount applies only to draft beer, pizza, popcorn, and pop.
17. Exclusions and limitations. The concession discount does not apply to any item other than the four listed in Section 16, does not apply to alcohol other than draft beer, cannot be combined with other promotions unless stated by the Club, and has no cash value. The discount is available to the member and is verified at the point of sale.
18. Annual renewal statement. Before each season, the Club will provide enrolled members with a renewal statement showing seats, locked pricing, total balance, and the payment schedule for the upcoming season.
19. Renewal deadline. The early renewal deadline for the 2026 window is August 31, 2026. Members who do not enroll by this date will be subject to standard 2027 season ticket pricing.
20. Auto-renewal process. Once enrolled, a member's account renews automatically for each subsequent season at the locked pricing, unless the member opts out during the opt-out window or is removed from the Program under these terms.
21. Opt-out window. The opt-out window is August 15 to September 15, annually. A member who does not wish to renew must provide written notice to the Club during this window.
22. Written opt-out requirement. Opt-out requests must be submitted in writing through the method designated by the Club. Verbal requests are not sufficient. A member who does not opt out during the window remains enrolled and will be charged for the upcoming season.
23. No refunds after the opt-out window. No refunds or cancellations are permitted after the opt-out window closes, except where approved at the sole discretion of the Winnipeg Sea Bears.
24. Missed payments. A scheduled payment not received by its due date is considered missed and places the account in arrears.
25. Failed credit card payments. If a credit card payment is declined, the Club will attempt to notify the member and may reattempt the charge. The member must provide a valid replacement payment method promptly.
26. Returned cheques. A returned or dishonoured cheque is treated as a missed payment and may be subject to a returned-item fee as permitted by law.
27. Late payments. The Club may set a cure period for late or failed payments. The member is responsible for bringing the account current within that period.
28. Account delinquency. An account with one or more unresolved missed, late, failed, or returned payments is considered delinquent.
29. Removal from the Program. The Club reserves the right to remove a member from the Program if the account becomes delinquent and is not brought current within the cure period. Removal may result in loss of the pricing lock, the payment plan, and Program benefits. Outstanding balances remain payable.
30. Account credits or adjustments. Any credits, adjustments, or balance changes are applied at the Club's discretion and reflected in the member's renewal statement or payment schedule.
31. Seat relocation, upgrades, downgrades, or added seats. Members may request seat relocations, upgrades, downgrades, or additional seats, subject to availability and Club approval.
32. How price protection applies to changes. The pricing lock protects the locked rate on the seats originally enrolled. Seats that are added, upgraded, or relocated to a different price level are priced at the then-current rate for the new seats at the time of the change, and that rate becomes the protected rate for those seats for the remainder of the lock period. Downgrades are priced at the then-current rate for the new, lower-priced seats. A change to seats does not extend the overall lock period.
33. Revocable ticket license. Each ticket is a revocable license granting entry to the applicable event. The Club reserves all rights associated with that license, including the right to revoke it for cause.
34. Fan code of conduct. All members and their guests are bound by the Sea Bears fan code of conduct and arena policies. Violations may result in ejection, loss of ticket privileges, and removal from the Program.
35. Changes to program terms. The Club may modify these terms, benefits, pricing structures, or the Program itself. Material changes will be communicated to enrolled members.
36. Club rights and discretion. Except where these terms state otherwise, decisions regarding eligibility, enrollment, removal, refunds, and adjustments are made at the sole discretion of the Winnipeg Sea Bears.
37. Acceptance of terms. By enrolling in the Permafrost Club, the member acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
38. Legal review disclaimer. This document is a draft prepared for internal use. It must be reviewed and approved by qualified legal counsel before being presented to members or used as a binding agreement.
