
Ilarion Bonhomme

BIO
Over the past two seasons, Ilarion Bonhomme has served as head coach of the Brandon University women’s basketball program, where he has focused on building a competitive, culture-driven team within the Canada West conference.
A native of Washington, D.C., Bonhomme has strong ties to Manitoba. He began his collegiate career at Brandon University, earning Canada West Rookie of the Year honours in the 2011–12 season. In 2015, he transferred to the University of Manitoba, where he helped lead the program to a U SPORTS Final 8 appearance in his final year.
Following his university career, Bonhomme played professionally for six years, competing in Norway, Australia, Sweden, Ukraine, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
Off the court, he holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management with a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion, and is currently pursuing a PhD with research centered on gender equity in sport.
