BIO
Alex Campbell’s impact on Canadian basketball dates back to the inaugural season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League in 2019. A native of Brampton, Ont., Campbell helped lead Saskatchewan to a league championship in the CEBL’s first year and cemented his place in league history by earning its first-ever Finals MVP award.
Since then, Campbell has been a constant presence in the Canadian game. In 2024, he joined the Winnipeg Sea Bears and delivered one of the most memorable moments in franchise and league history, becoming the first Canadian to reach 1,000 career CEBL points on a buzzer-beating shot in his first home game at Canada Life Centre. He also stands alone as the only player in league history to surpass 500 career three-pointers.
Following a decorated playing career, Campbell now enters the next chapter of his basketball journey on the sidelines. He joins the Sea Bears coaching staff as lead assistant coach and assistant general manager, while continuing in his role as full-time lead assistant coach with the Saskatchewan Huskies. Campbell brings a championship pedigree, deep league experience and a player-first perspective to his new roles.
